Love the Phrog. My first real cruise was as a MIDN on an ammo ship, and they were VERTREPing from us to the Connie and Lincoln battle groups in the NAG as we spooled up for the Iraq invasion. Later on, some of my favorite primary instructors were Phrog guys- always seemed like a happier bunch than their 60 (and especially USMC Cobra) counterparts. :D

IIRC, all of this is academic- I have no idea how or even if that unit grants callsigns. Fun ideas though.
 
Think of the paperwork it took to get this authorization staffed ! 😕
Between FAA COA and HQMC, Dozens of Teams meetings, dozens of powerpoints, pdfs with digital signatures flying around only to be recalled and unsigned and edited because of a typo. Hundreds of text messages saying "hey where is the thing I asked for?"
