02 MARCH 2026, SNA/SNFO

I just got my date today as well for 25OCT26. I applied back in 2024 and my active duty community did not release me so they rolled me to FY 27
I’ll keep my eyes peeled, congrats on the selection! I’m sure it’s been a journey for sure. Are you an sna or nfo select?

Gents, I would appreciate your thoughts / help. I was picked up on the March board for SNA. About 2 weeks after I got the green light from the Navy I got a call from an Air National Guard Sqn to fly F35.

Obviously I’m super stoked, however nothings rubber stamped yet and I’m concerned that if I turn the navy down now, and something happens to my guard slot (funding cancelled etc) that I would be disbarred from ever applying for an AD Navy slot again?

I plan on just informing my Navy CoC and seeing if there’s anyway they could keep my application afloat while I wait for the ANG option to go through - ergo have my cake and eat it!

If anyone has recruiting experience and can provide me with any insight I’d really appreciate it.

Cheers

My steak is too juicy and my lobster is too buttery 😂😂. That’s insane dude congrats on both fronts.

Edit: idk how it works with ANG as opposed to active duty USAF, but I had no idea you could apply both at the same time

Thanks dude 😂 yeah ANG is entirely casual. Submit your resume, cover letter and test scores directly to the squadron during their hiring cycle. The pilots run the boards, usually there’s a rush invite followed by interviews. Never expected to get picked up, hence the navy slot

what are your test scores, for both astb and afoqt. and do you have any ratings (civilian pilot training)
