02 MARCH 2026, SNA/SNFO

sup everyone, im reading a lot of the feed. was previously on the march board with a 4/7/5 for SNA... recruiter said it got canceled for people who weren't BDCP or ISEL

Just trying to clear some terms up im seeing in here, when people say street SNAs does that mean non I SEL people like me who are below the triple 7s??

I have a 4.0 GPA but my last ASTB attempt is a 4/7/5 so were rocking and rolling... former college athlete at the D1 level so hoping as if this next board for street SNAs is in may correct?? looking for some feedback, thx

Fleet applicants are active duty enlisted sailors. Street applicants refers to non active duty personnel and possibly applicants from other branches if I am not mistaken.

You can do that?? Oh man there are so many good sea shanties and sailor songs out there
It’s actually encouraged/expected that you start singing different cadences once you’re allowed to (usually in JOC)

Some of my favorites were:
- Steamroller
- Leave Her Johnny
- Chuck Norris (Bearded Ninja)
- The service songs

They have to actually make sense with the marching rhythm, but it’s super satisfying when they do and it’s a big morale boost

I always wanted to try Do Wah Diddy Diddy like in the movie Stripes but I never had the guts to do it lol

Oh man can’t wait to actually do that ngl def something I’ll absolutely look forward to in ocs, I’m sure a lot of us also love sea shanties and sailor songs anyways. And so long it works with the marching rhythm and is appropriate in general any song/tune works?
