26JAN2026 IWC Board

Officially from NRC results can come out anywhere from 2-10 weeks post board, the average here on AW is about 4-6. So late February or early March is a realistic timeframe.
 
Here are my current stats.

55 OAR
3.67 GPA
BS in Criminal Justice
Current IT worker in a DOD environment
2.5 Years experience DOD IT work
2 LOR from IP Officers

Security+, Net+, PSM 1, AZ 900

Really worried about my major holding me back. I have been thinking about doing a masters in a related field. Current IP hopeful.

AUG Board Selected an IP with a Masters in exercise lol, I think youve got just as much a chance as us. Especially because there are fundamental similarities in the Blue side of Cybersecurity that def translate over from criminal justice. You got this!

P.S. theres an excel on page 1 of the thread if you wanna see the whole group
 
does anyone know if the Intel board happened on January 26? If not, is it true the next Intel board isn’t until June?

The actual degree can be misleading unless you know their background. I had an History major selected for IP or CW (can't remember which) who had nearly 3 years of Electrical Engineering before realizing that was not the path for them.

The stats over a few decades have shown that IP and CW select those with tech degrees around 90% of the time, having a high GPA helps as I also had an English major with a near 4.0 GPA picked for Intel.

Where'd you hear this? I've annoyed my recruiter with a few calls about this, and he's been EMPHATIC that the recent IWC board and the one in March have been/are closed for INTEL. Praying he's wrong, but not getting my hopes up.

PS seems like everyone else in this thread is hearing the same (ie that the board was closed for INTEL)

Not a dumb question. Unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you. Wish I could more. Hopefully someone has more insight to this.

I spoke with the Intel OCM about this. It is closed for non-fleet applicants and open for fleet applicants. On an earlier page in this thread there’s a picture of the schedule and it notes what is being considered at the board that convened 26JAN.
