I got a lot of my information about SWO from this document, which was recently updated in June 2025; the higher the OAR, the better! Good Luck!what is my chances for future boards 3.40 business 26 yo male havent taken oar but i feel like i would hit between 45-55 with proper study
As long as the OAR isn't one that requires a waiver you should be good. When things get more competitive it is the GPA that will help or hurt.I got a lot of my information about SWO from this document, which was recently updated in June 2025; the higher the OAR, the better! Good Luck!

IWC community has had an average GPA of those selected of about 3.5 for decades, a 3.2 is still in the ballpark but less of a chance. How were you a non-select??? These stats are beyond amazing, you’re for sure gonna stand out on this board good luck man looking forward to hear your results!
Didn't realize how competitive it can really get with that selection board, but makes sense too, it is one of the most sought out communitiesIWC community has had an average GPA of those selected of about 3.5 for decades, a 3.2 is still in the ballpark but less of a chance
I have found it is a combination of things. IWC has a higher age limit, the duty stations which often aren't on ships, and also a misconception of what the jobs actually do. I would talk to many applicants who wanted to go Intel thinking they would be in the field interrogating people, not in an office making PowerPoint presentations.Didn't realize how competitive it can really get with that selection board, but makes sense too, it is one of the most sought out communities

Hell yeah good luck! I know I needed one small medical waiver and it took less than 24 hours to get approved so fingers crossed yours gets done ASAP!Hey y'all, I know this thread is kind of dead, but I just wanted to give an update. My recruiter just sent my medical paperwork up this past week. She did say it usually takes about a week or so to come back, and hopefully will hear something next week. I'm praying that it'll be approved for this medical waiver, so I can officially submit my package.
Do you mind if I ask what your medical waiver was for?Hell yeah good luck! I know I needed one small medical waiver and it took less than 24 hours to get approved so fingers crossed yours gets done ASAP!
