03 NOV 2025, SNA/SNFO BOARD

fighter-cat22

SNA BDCP Applicant
Hey everyone, I went ahead and made the thread for the November 3, boards. I know the September board has been packed because of the cancellations, but let’s hope they see this one through too.

@MowinThaAir was going to add the spreadsheet, so we will get that in soon.

We appreciate everyone’s questions/answers and discussion so don’t hesitate to ask.

Here’s the FY26 board schedule: https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Porta...26-BOARD-SCHEDULE---N31-OFFICER-PROGRAMS.xlsx

Excel sheet will be posted soon. Goodluck everyone!

Im applying for SNFO BDCP. Im really excited for this board. I initially wanted to apply for SNA but got disqualified due to my uncorrected distant vision not meeting the requirements. I've decided to change my plans and go ahead and apply for this board as SNFO. Do I have a good chance of getting SNFO with these scores? Im a bit disappointed with my OAR. Also, My recruiter told me I dont need any LOR. I saw a lot of people applying on the last board had LOR so I went ahead a requested some from people I know. How many is usually the recommended amount? I only have two so far.

ASTB Scores:
OAR: 48
AQR: 6
PFAR: 8
FOFAR: 6

GPA: 4.0
Major: BBA Accounting
Minor: Economics

LOR
1 retired US ARMY O6: My military science professor
1 active duty US ARMY O1: My mentor in college

Good scores. I have 2 LORs and my recruiter told me max of 3. I’ve seen some people say the board doesn’t even read them, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to include a couple. Usually you want at least one for academics and one for character.

SNA BDCP hopeful applying with a 46 OAR and a 6/9/7. Iuckily ive been told that aviation boards really only care about PFAR and for NFO about FOFAR so dont stress about that OAR.

Am I missing something? The board schedule only shows the July board cancelled.

Been hearing a lot about people’s recruiters not getting them in for the board. Is this a common occurrence? Do just go radio silent and leave you out to dry? This is my first application and also the first time I’ve heard of something like this.

Me personally my recruiter tends to forget about my situation so its always good practice to just consistently nag them about your package

It's not outside the realm of possibility. I was lucky to have a recruiter that was on top of his stuff and gave me updates anytime he could. He's a chief now, and I think he definitely deserved it

Yeah I’m definitely a nuisance to mine (he’s great though so I got lucky), but they’re so busy that’s kinda what you gotta do. It also helps to live pretty close to the actual recruiting office.

Yeah same here, I was one of the fortunate few to have a great recruiter. I think he is retired or about to retire as Cheif too

I’m very grateful that my recruiter managed to work it out with me living 4 hours away. I only ever had to visit him once in person for the ASTB.
