T-45C Replacement

2 x FJ44 from a Citation CJ is an interesting engine configuration.... Teaches multi engine ops and reasonably fuel efficient.

FCLP and non-arrested landing boat ops capable.

Apparently will be pitched hard by a cadre of employees former CV Jet dudes handing out massive swag at Hook this week.

Glad we could do their R&D for them.

N98 said yesterday that IOC for UJTS is “NLT” 2035…

There’s cardboard boxes in a dumpster out back, and they have painted the formation maneuvers in parking lot C. MIF is being able to run on the lines and make whooshing noises while getting all comm calls correct.

"SNA showed up to event motivated and ready to fly. Whooshing noises were inadequate, but made up for it with clear and concise comms. Overall, a good flight. PRESS!"

gets MIF'd out

Well I guess I'm glad to hear that we will most likely get the trainer contract. Who is SNC even? Doubt the navy knows. Things the navy doesn't need anymore......"carrier capable advanced jet trainer". Shoulda kept it in house and sold as your manufacturer @sevenhelmet

I am certain it was never my employer’s intent to see someone else market that airframe design.

Very obvious that SNC have not been paying attention to USN RFIs. They’re at least two years behind the times. 0% chance it’s compliant with the current list of UJTS attributes.

They have a perpetual ISR job listing that I will occasionally see pop up. It also looks like they must have a depot-like contract in Dayton, OH given all of the A&P listings.
SNC has the contract to modify former Korean Air 747s into the Airborne Command Post E-4B replacement. That works is underway at Dayton.

Coincidentally SNC is here at Hagerstown, MD as well - I taxi by their ramp daily which is full of ISR Global Express jets with what looks like an APS-154 "canoe" in plain white livery devoid of N number.
