OCS 08APR2024 SNA/SNFO BOARD

Sorry i got the numbers wrong i got a 5/8/6
You still have a decent shot on NFO if that is still what you wanted. The 8 PFAR is good for sna. I think in general if you have a 8 or 9 (9 obviously the best you can do) on pfar or fofar you have a good to great chance for the corresponding position (sna or snfo).

Thanks man I appreciate your input and thanks for the tip on the spreadsheet i found it

Anyone know the OCS timeline for this board? My recruiter told me anywhere from June 2024 - July 2025 which’s seems like a pretty large timeframe.

I know this might sound crazy but when they say "Board" Is it a physical board we show up to or do they just pick up our packet and say yes or no? Because my recruiter said something about 2 weeks we should know if your selected.

What do you think my chances are? Im only going for SNA, got a 47/5/8/7. 3.5 GPA business management. That 5 is scaring me and I only have 1 more chance at the test if needed.

Your packet will be looked at by the board and it’s just a yes or no, you are not physically going to be in-front of them. The board convenes on April 11th and the packets are due march 11th if I’m not mistaken. Then it is takes how ever long until they finish looking at all of the packets for us to find out, the last couple boards have been like 2-3 weeks after the board convened for the results to come out.

Gotcha thanks, also what are some of the things other than LOR's that i can be doing for m packet to get ahead? My recruiter sucks a texting back so i wanna just be ready.

I have no clue I’m in the same boat as you, we pretty much have the exact same scores for sna only differences is I got a 6/8/7 so for the both of us I’m hoping a 8 will pull us through.

really kicking myself for that 5, I feel like you should be fine. If I have to take it a third time Im studying the math/mechanical stuff hard.

It’s a packet board brother. The submission deadline is March 11th that’s when you have to get your package to the board Incase there is any corrections you gotta make they send it back ask you and your recruiter to make those corrections and resubmit. The date they your packet actually gets looked thru will commence on the 8th of April so you should find out your date anywhere from late April to early May.

It's been mentioned a few times, but LORs don't really matter bc they only care about scores.

That being said, just be persistent with your recruiter, but be patient with them too. If they need anything from you, they'll let you know.

It only takes them about 1 day to go through the applications, the rest of the time is all the admin stuff NRC has to do.

If a person submits on the deadline and it gets kicked back expect to miss the board, it happens all the time because people wait to submit until the last minute.

Random question - do you get interviewed for your clearance prior to OCS? I submitted SF86 in October and haven’t heard anything
