Intel will really only care about your degree and GPA (they like high GPA's). if the PQ letter isn't back he probably has you on the back burner taking care of others that are further in the process.

This doesn't excuse the lack of communication though keeping you informed of what is going on.

Thank you for the information. What degree is Intel looking for? He also just responded and said we will knock everything out on the 26th of August

You can find the Program Authorizations on MyNavyHR. They may also be in the forum. I do remember seeing something referencing languages and regional focus (Asian studies). Degrees May be history, political science, STEM. You may be able to see those selected in previous boards as well and look for some similarities in education and background. Should shine some light on it. Hope this helps.

Look at the PA but take some with a grain of salt, I had several picked up for Intel and saw many more that were selected, the common theme is high GPA, the average over the years for IWC as a whole is 3.5 and yes there will be some that don't have that but it is the average. I didn't see a single one picked that had any real language skills, some spoke Spanish and a few knew other languages from their background but I don't think any listed it on their application as they weren't fluent.

A tech degree can be a plus as well.

Thank you for the information. I took 3 years of Spanish and one of German so I’m not completely fluent in those. I’m also just around that gpa mark.

If the GPA is good give it a shot, Intel officers don't use foreign language in their job, none of the ones I knew or put in ever had a need for any foreign language skills, that is what CTI's are for.

For Active Duty Enlisted applying for OCS, though Program Authorization (PA) 106 Aviation Officer Candidate only states max age 32 and not a max Time In Service such as the SWO PA, does anyone know if there is a certain amount of years that are viewed as too many at the Selection Board? For example, 11 years AD TIS.
