Pandemic-related action? What did he do exactly? I've seen lots of empty promises and nuking jobs in the energy industry and refusal to work with Republican legislators on the relief bill.

He literally ran on the platform that he was going to defeat covid. He hasn't done anything on that front other than continue exactly what his predecessor did. Other than say that we weren't going to be able to change the trajectory of the pandemic for several months.

President Biden said he was going to follow the science. He hasn't done that at all. Hence why he's unwilling to use his bully pulpit to tell teachers to get back to school. Open borders and closed schools, that's what we're getting under President Biden.

That vaccine that you're getting? The one that was going to be "impossible" to get in under a year? Yeah, that was all realized under President Trump's watch.

So let's dial back the Democratic Party talking points there. I know you're on a "deployment" right now, but try to do a better job of keeping up with current events in America. Speaking of, I hope you're having a ball out there. I hope the liberty is awesome, but I'm sure you've got lots of free time on your hands. If you need some websites that will help you catch up on what you've missed I'd love to give you some suggestions.

Here's something from PBS to watch tomorrow to make your Super Bowl hangover even worse.

It'll make you pretty mad. There are a lot of good people in China but there are also some pretty evil ones in charge. The WHO doesn't come off looking very good on this piece either. Other than the melodramatic music being very CNN/Fox-like (in other words, annoying while adding nothing to the content), it's a decent hit piece.

Pretty sure a sailor buying a motorcycle won't lead to the nursing home down the street losing half of their residents to motorcycle accidents.

That's the thing with this disease. The people who spread it and keep it bubbling in the community aren't the ones who die from it.

The new, more contagious variant is in our country, particularly in Florida. The doubling rate for it (@SlickAg, that means it actually has exponential growth) is about every 9 days in FL, although I am betting that in Tampa we'll see a big surge, and lots of people bringing home from the Super Bowl.

As a Cheifs fan, I can say now that I agree with Dr. Fauci, that game should not have been played last night. As a matter of fact, I am a recent convert to the cancel culture. I say we cancel everything that happened last night and start again when things are safer for everyone.

If you can't see the policies that an island nation with a GDP a fraction of ours and the associated level of population movement that comes with it cannot and will not work here, then you're literally not worth engaging with.
