Looking forward to your "report". Lots of changes in the WESTPAC, am sure. Guess KaiTac no long an weather "divert" around Christmas time! AC'd on most of those HPF routes, (high pucker factor). VQ1 out of Atsugi and DaNang including BigLook. Elmendorf, Shemya, Misawa and Okinawa. Is CTF-72 still in KamiSeya?
Had the opportunity in Mid-70's to work on initial installation at Diego Garcia as an IO communications station. Man, did we ever have forsight! Remember the problems with the donkey's, not unlike gooney birds on Midway. Boss always threatened to make me the "ass control officer" on DG.

Rumor: This is actually one step below a rumor, but will pass it on anyway for what it is worth. Had lunch with couple (mid level) folks from PAX River. They said Pentagon was for letting P3 missions expire with the aircraft. Seems to me what may be lost in this argument is there is more to it than the missions), it is a presence.
