Yep, just got back last night! Most amazing experience of my life hands down. I qualled but at least half of the guys never even got to suit up. I don't know my grades yet, only that I qualled. Had several bolters but few if any no grades so it shouldn't be too bad. Can't wait to do it again in a grey jet!...
CONGRATs to all of you!!

Don't worry too much at this stage about the bolters ... if you flew safe passes and the bolters were WX/wind "assisted", that should be taken into account on the overall grades.

I was also on the TR for CQ last week. As ex rigger said, being out on the boat was the most amazing expierence of my life! Nothing can compare to that first trap and cat shot! My HUD tape is rated 'R' for all the crazy a$$ words I said. I cant wait to be done with acm and (hopefully) earn those WINGS OF GOLD! Out of the 9 guys from -9, 7 qualed. One guy never saw the boat (due to the bad wx) and the other had an illness pop up and wasn't able to finish.

Funny ... you look EXACTLY -- or at least 98% like -- like a former Amigo with whom I trained, shipped, and flew ... he's now a deep sea fishing boat driver @ the Florida Keys.

Just substitute a TA-4 for the "English Patient" and you've got it ...

CONGRATS on your "everything was a big blur" day. And CONGRATS on joining "the Club", younger Bruddah. :)

Interrogative: was there a TRACOM BOAT this past week?? I seem to have picked up on some of you indicating such an event was taking place ....

If so; how did it go overall??? All the bases??

Primary evidence that there was....

Heh . . . I flew with the pilot whose name is on the rails of 125. Harrier pilot, good people and a good IP. I flew 100 as a witness to possibly the biggest Weps student goat-rodeo known to man. I was the only guy who didn't get a below that flight.:icon_tong

He almost got a new callsign when I was there; the local gendarmes pulled him over for some minor malfeasance and then misidentified his motorcycle as stolen property. "Duke" almost became "Fingers." :D
