Looks like our Ukrainian Friends are receiving surplus USMC M16A4's.

On 12 January, a unit of the Ukrainian Army’s 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade (47 OMBr) was seen equipped with US M16A4s for the first time.

I guess "more guns" is good...but there's an argument to be made for common ammunition with what they already might have. Full disclosure: I have no idea what may already have.

Our friends apparently include Ukrainian Girl Scouts, at least now we know where all those cookie profits pay for.

One would imagine the primary supplier of 5.45x39 ammo for their AK-74s probably isn’t too keen on giving them any more.
