Will that include the Reserves?

Magic 8 ball says picture fuzzy, check back later - If Mark Kirk wins Obama's old Senate seat I suspect that 209 will get Growlers. Flyinspy likely knows more than me on this.

I believe we (The Marine Corps!) will be flying prowlers for a long time to come. Longer than 2019... I could even imagine the prowler only being a reserve airplane. 4th MAW owns the squadrons and dets the airplanes out. Wanna be an NFO past 2019? Go reserve, we already commission 2ndLt's into the reserves with OCC-R...

But I have nothing to base this off of other than JOPA logic...

I was at a fundraiser for Mark last week with some of the more "old school" 209 alumni, and this was a topic of conversation. I think the real Magic 8-Ball answer is still "it depends" on a number of factors - including the fact that none of the POM'd jets are currently slated for 209. If Mark wins (and it's looking positive, but by no means a done deal yet), I think he may have bigger near-term fish to fry. Makes for interesting speculation, though!
