Looks like some poor sailor won't be getting his nudy-mags from home.

Had that happen on the Nimitz once. We were able to recover some of the mail that floated. Dudes in the water, stuffing helmet bags full of mail and sending them up the hoist.

I personally pickled a load over water that was swinging out of control, wasn't mail though.

You know you're getting good at VERTREP and really meshing with your crewmen when, between your stick skills, their calls, and your telepathic abilities with each other, you can draw a cock and balls with the loads, as you drop them on the receiving ship.

Had stuff blow over... multiple times. Shouldn't have happened. That goes back to the UNREP manual's considerations for staging the deck. That was one of a few reasons that the Deck department's top two got fired...
