Good news is you can land anywhere. A couple of guys with chains to tie you down when you land might be advisable. Recommend you don't try to taxi. Be careful opening the canopy.

I'm reminded of the "meh, but pass" gradesheet I got on an early-stage FAM in Whiting for something like "didn't adapt well to dealing with WX in the area and on course rules" when the layer was like 100 feet away from being a weather CANX and my young skull full of cottage cheese had never dealt with that before. There was a guy at the Oceana Weapons School a while back who went to jail for kiddie porn and soliciting minors, but that's the closest thing I've heard of. Interesting post-script, the same guy apparently wrote a letter to China from prison, trying to sell USG secrets. Link below so you know I'm not making this up:

Nah, this made the local news back in '04 timeframe. Might even be a thread about it here; I dunno. Basically a VP instructor at Whiting got arrested and charged for propositioning a 15-year-old boy. Last I ever heard of the story was a Pensacola News-Journal article saying that local law enforcement was coordinating with the Island Country Sheriff or some other agency in Whidbey to find out if he'd had any victims on his fleet tour. But I have two flights in my logbook with the scumbag, and I remember the snap AOM where the Skipper cancelled the flight schedule, brought everyone in, and flat-out told everyone that law enforcement had the situation in hand, and if anyone got caught unofficially retaliating, he'd bring them up on charges.
Disgusting…a guy I went to TBS and flight school with got busted for child porn and then hung himself in jail. A few years later in the fleet a friend of mine refused to be the suicide prevention office when the XO assigned it to him because, “there’s only one person I know who killed himself and I’m glad he did it.” XO was not amused…
Also, an AH-1 FRS IP got rolled up by NCIS and the FBI in the parking lot outside the squadron and is now doing 8 years in the brig before his civilian trial starts…he should also hang himself.
