t-34/t-6 noise pollution

If you waste your time at the plate waiting for the perfect pitch, you're never going to get on base. Sometimes you just have to swing at whatever comes your way. Be the Babe and call the shot.

That thinking can apply to almost anything in life...

Sound of Freedom

I am a Baldwin County native and live on the eastern shore of
Mobile Bay. When y'all turn on final for that long runway at
Brookley (the number escapes me) you're pretty much over
my house. If I'm in the yard I always try and wave.

Most of the complainers are new arrivals. The navy has
been flying over the area for decades. I can't tell you how
many times I've explained the "Sound of Freedom" to some
recent immigrant moron. I've had several letters to the
editor published admonishing these miscreants. I take
particular pleasure in pointing out that their freedom to
whine and complain is one of the freedoms you are defending.
So please don't think the vocal few speak for the majority.

I also work at Battleship Memorial Park, and we see T-6s
and T-34s daily. All I can say is give me low passes and
waggled wings and we'll wave back! And if any of you ever
want a tour of the park, come over there and ask for me.
If I'm not tasked up I'll be happy to show you around. And
remember, active duty does not pay.

Thank you for your service!

Regards,
Owen

Our pleasure Owen... I haven't flown down there in a couple years, but I'm sure I may have generated a few noise complaints in lower Alabama...

I wonder what those people who complain about T-6's and T-34's would do if they lived in Oak Harbor... I mean, if you think 6's and 34's are loud, come to Oak Harbor... Prowlers climbing out or on final... loud as fvck...

Cheers,
Bubba

I wonder if I generated any noise complaints the other night after multiple approaches into there with the four fans of freedom spinning:) Tomorrow's mission, see how many SEC stadiums we can flyover in one 5 hour DFW.

Thanks for the support Owen.

Just as a follow up to this conversation, I flew into Bay Minette recently and reaffirm my position that the gals there are hot. But to each his own I guess.
