Stupid internet nerd question: In the Super Hornet (or the Baby) HUD, what's the unit of measure for Alpha? I've seen videos where the units go into the 20's, which makes me think it's units and not degrees, but other videos show something different. Is this selectable (degrees vs units)? Inquiring 14 year-old minds on the internet who want to argue want to know!

Alpha is always displayed in degrees in all -18 variants. The ability to point the nose and fly at high alpha is pretty awesome. Alpha in the 20s would indicate pretty dynamic maneuvering, but still a good bit to go before max performing.

T-45 is arbitrary units vice degrees. I think the forumula was something like Units=Degrees+8 or something close to that.

All Hornet variants are straight up degrees and is not selectable.

Does the Navy do Tactical Insertions or is it solely the UH-1Y?

Air Force took over the mission some time ago.
