NEWS Russia's Bombers Tu-160, Tu-95MS Go Through Baptism of Fire in Syria

Russia has stepped up its counterterrorism efforts in Syria by bringing in the Tupolev Tu-95 (Bear) and Tupolev Tu-160 (Blackjack) strategic bombers, as well as Tupolev Tu-22 (Blinder) medium bomber. On Tuesday, the aircraft hit ISIL targets for the first time since Moscow launched its aerial campaign in late September.

Just for facts sake the Tu-22 'Blinder' is no longer in service, instead Tu-22M 'Backfire' bombers are what were supposedly used.
