DCA "Don't give up the ship"
i just got the written letter telling me about my that i have selected and my OCS date. But on the letter it said Us naval reserve, does anyone know why?

From what I understand all Naval officers are officially USNR for something like 3 years, not sure why this is.

Besides the title, how are your job and/or benefits different as compared to being called USN rather then USNR?
