When I commissioned in March my Recruiter told me I would be luck to hear anything from the NOSC before May. I was actually contacted by my NOSC mentor about two weeks ago and was gained last week. I am scheduled to attend my first Drill in May. Good luck tomorrow!Question for those who have commissioned, have you been affiliated with your nosc yet?
I commission tomorrow. Just curious how long it will take for things to get going.

I showed up in a suit because I don't plan on doing this again in my lifetime and wanted to look professional. I didn't bring anything special.Thanks. What did the commissioning entail? I spoke with my recruiter a little bit. He told me to dress up as much as I want, but it was essentially just signing some paperwork and taking the oath. He told me I did not need to bring anything.
What was your experience?

There is actually an entire thread dedicated to DCO commissionings and what people have done for them. I personally went 'all out' because my husband was so stoked. I don't regret it at all. (all out = SDW, pretty location, lots of people, and bbq at the house afterwards)

After commissioning, did you contact your NOSC? Or just sit right and wait for someone to contact you?
I haven't put in EDO yet, but the commissioning to drill process has been quick for other programs. Maybe it's the NOSC, but my DCO folks have drilled no later than 2-4 weeks. Your OR should be in contact with NOSC Manpower to ensure your service paperwork is GTG and that you're ready to drill.
PM me.I am not sure what the deal is but I too was selected in January, I still haven't drilled. I fought hard to contact my NOSC but I needed help from some ORs to actually make some contact. It's not been a pretty process for anyone. I'm prior service, and thing that's helped me grease the cogs but it's been no picnic. I've commissioned, found that the NOSC has my commdocs but that's it.
Just got commissioned last week - looking at INDOC early next month.
Go to page 3 under number 5 (Appointment). Plain and simple.
RUFiO181,
1. Thank you for all of your posts and overall support for the DCO applicants. It is much appreciated.
2. I've just put in a kit for the Reserve EDO DCO board (June `17). During the process, I noticed that the Program Authorization (PA) is nowhere to be found on the Internet. I can find PAs for many of the other designators (IW, INTEL, etc.), but your EDO PA posted on this forum is the only one I've found online.
3. Can you pass the word to someone in the EDO community to ask them to post their PA? There's a some good information in those documents and I take some comfort in pulling them from official sources.
4. Thank you, again, for your commitment to the AirWarriors community.
Very Respectfully,
CTN1
