For starters, where is Primary located? What are our choices? If older airbases are being decommissioned, like Vance, in what locations will Primary be held, say, in 1 year?

Primary training has been @ NAS Corpus Christi and NAS Whiting Field for what 50 years? . .well a really long time. It will be there for a long time. 90% (made that # up) Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines go there. .Some go to Moody and Vance as some Air Force come to Whiting.

According to some of the Sim Instructors here at Whiting, there is some uncertainty about the future of NAS Whiting. One of the guys said that it makes the list everytime there is a new round of Base Closures and it usually stays on until the last minute. I guess one of its saving graces is all the training at South Field.

hmmmm interesting. . . . .Never have heard that. Safe next year as you said. . .. . (still this fiscal year)

soon? I haven't heard that. Seems everyone around campus (NASWF) thinks it will be some time (the Navy's 2.5 per month are all going to NAS PENS until they have enough) before they are used and a major curriculum change.
