I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this question. I was just selected for SNA and completed my flight physical. However, I am allergic to peanuts (it is a minor allergy which causes minor swelling of my lips and tongue, nothing unmanageable) which came back as a remedial on my physical. I was told to see an allergist which I did. He confirmed I was allergic but wrote a note for BUMED stating my history proved it to be a minor allergy. I had this same problem with my DODMERB physical but a waiver was approved. Has anyone heard of this before or know someone who is allergic to peanuts in the fleet? I don't think it should be a problem to get a waiver for the flight physical but I want to make sure. I would hate to get seperated at this point for something like this. Any help is much appreciated.
