Is anyone going to the Pt. Mugu Air Show Saturday or Sunday? (22 & 23 October) The Blue Angels are going to be there and I don't plan on missing a Blue Angels show so I'm going. I'll ry to post some pictures.
I also heard they were closing down Pt. Mugu, is this true? (Hey, that sort of rhymes:))

@kmac

I am hearing you, but there's more than only flying on an airshow/open house.
Static shows have interest as well as flight preformances.

If you say so, roger that. There are a lot of displays, but some USAF types ended up cancelling (F-15, F-16). They can't hack it I guess.

There's also the Edwards Open House going on this weekend, but their both mutually exclusive. I wish i could go to both though, that would be nice.

I'm in town from NYC for the Pt Mugu show. Weather's been disappointing so far, but hoping the Blues can go up tomorrow. I got a great shot today of the L-39 "wall of fire" - I'll post when I get back home. Probably won't know if I see any of you out there, but enjoy the show if you make it out!

Can somebody explain what this means?

So, yeah, it wasn't that bad

Went to Mugu today and it wasn't too bad. Got to see some plane fly, got to wander around, and I got to see Fat Albert do it's little show. The biggest downside was that I didn't get to see the Blue Angels fly.:( But it was a cool airshow and I bought a cool VX-30 shirt. :D

Somebody show A4s that picture of the Stearman, I'm sure it'll bring back memories of his days at Pensacola. :)

Just kidding 'cause I care. AW smilies in full effect.:) :)

It is a radar bird, most now have that, same radar as the Hornet but they lose the Laser Spot Tracker-bad trade from my perspective

The ones you are used to seeing are either basic Harirers or night attack birds

I dont know, not a Harrier guy. I only worry about their capabilities, ask Squeeze he flies them.

You beat me to it bro. Marine layer's a b!tch this weekend - good running weather though.
