Medical & taking oath

I'm getting my physical soon since it's required for the application. I'm guessing you sign your contract and take the oath AFTER you get the physical, submit the application and get professionally recommended? (I was enlisted before and we did the physical and swear in on the same day.)

In my case, that's what happened. At the end of MEPS, applicants for commission left while enlisted men and women stayed to take the oath and sign contracts. Some enlisted even shipped out after that.

Officer applicants = NO. You go through a different process and must be further selected. You are not in the program yet, so how can you take the oath?

Enlisted = yes.
