Is it just an 8-year commitment?

Is there any truth to the line that, in addition to the 8-year commitment for naval aviators, an extra commitment is incurred for each promotion accepted?

Uh, let me see....NO. Thats not true. And if you fly holo's or props its only six (after flight school)
