IRR Called to Action

KC130FE

Livin' the Life!
Most of these billets are for enlisted folks. But fret not, aviators. There is always MOS 9910, Billet Designator - Unrestricted Officer. Plenty of work for everyone. Semper Fi!

This is the second wave of call-ups. The first 2500 were called up last November to report in July 2007.

The only ranks that were called were Sgts and Captains. (Really the only ranks in the IRR)

All orders are for 12 months and they are all generic orders specific to Iraq. (no training billets)

does not matter how many times in Iraq already. Mostly Infantry and logistic officers.

Isn't the notice also copyrighted?

That would defeat the intent of the notice as what they really want is you looking at their site for content and to be afraid to post articles. THey are more than happy to have links posted as they derive income from every unique IP that looks at each page on their site. So they want you looking at content on their pages, not on AW or elsewhere. This is primary income source for sites like Military.com who focus on 6+ million audience of military folks. Even at half a penny a look, it adds up if you can draw people onto your site daily hence the varied content and attempt to continually expand interesting and compelling content.

We have to show good faith and due diligence in removing the content that contains Intellectual Property that contains intrinsic value. A warning notice does not and that's from the IP lwayer I deal with when I have a question. We are merely showing that we do not allow their IP to be posted and are callign attention to their warning. The fines are very hefty so we have to remove and warn as soon as content protected by copyright is discovered or be liable for legal action (poster and AW alike).

That's interesting. We just got our MOS numbers last week and there aren't alot of Log-O slots for the current companies selecting out of TBS.

Would that be because they are needed at the O-3 level vs. O-1?

That would seem so.

IRR that are called Logos and Communicators are used at the divison and regimental level and usually they need just a little more brass on there shoulder when briefing the Col and generals. doesn'ty mean that they are any more qualified than a salty 1st lt or even a smart motivated 2nd lt there is just a Little more push and pull when you are an 0-3.

I showed the article to one of our Sergeants who's going on terminal tomorrow. He freaked out.

A MARADMIN came out last year which stated that Marines who leave Active Duty have a 24 month grace period from activation. I'll see if I can find which MARADMIN to reference. Frumby
