No because you don't do a full course. IFS only goes for 25 flight hours through your solo cross country flight. Most will require an addtional 10-15 hours to complete the requirements for the private license excluding the check ride. I can only recall one student of mine who did it in minimum hours and he was a dedicated civilian. He did it in about 6 weeks even with the interruption of Hurricane Ivan.

FWIW this thread is like 2+ years old, and the guy who started it is in my class here in Meridian.....guessing he doesn't need IFS tips now

Thanks for the wakeup! I'm gonna get back to checking posted dates. My brain is about fried lately doing this final report before I head home and I check in on a couple websites to try to relax and clear my head.
guess it isn't working too well huh?
