Does anyone know at what point the Navy stops PCSing families to a location if there is a planned location change for the command?
IOW, if a ship or squadron is moving to a new location, is there a cut off date at which they would keep the family at the location of the losing command until after the gaining command moves, or send them to the new location before the command arrives there rather than sending them to the interim location and then again to the new location? If the command is moving July 1, I'd assume that if someone was reporting on June 1, for example, they aren't going to move his family and then move them again in a month. Is there a specific cut off?
