I was but a lowly plebe and my firsties said "Grab your shoes, we're going running." Ran the sea wall after class that day all the way to Hospital Point bridge before the Academy opsO (CDR "Katz" Mckavitt) himself came out and told us to "Get the hell off the sea wall and go back to the Hall."
Good times.
Even better the next day when we kayaked around Farragut.
If I recall correctly, we were hit the night we (VT Hokies) played Miami in my rat year - 2003. Thursday night game, and we destroyed the hurricanes...in the hurricane.
Scoolbubba/HokieAv8er confirm?
No, I'm saying if you live south of 98 and have to evacuate, you'll get paid. If you live north of 98, you won't.
Fester, I haven't heard anything about 98 being a demarcation line.
It's being put out here that you/we get ordered by CNRSE to evac, then you get paid. Per diem, mileage (up to 350 miles), lodging (up to the Atlanta metro rate). You will muster via EMASS and you will have to be in a position to RTB w/in 48 hrs.
