After graduating from NROTC, with a commision as a reserve officer in the navy, how hard is it to switch to active duty status?
Do you have to serve as an officer in teh reserves for so many years?

Officers from NROTC, USNA and OCS all get reserve commissions... IE ENS, USNR. This does not mean that you are a reservist in the sense that I think you mean. You are active duty. I am not sure if it is 2,3 or 4 yrs (I want to say 4 )of service, but at that point, it is pretty much push button to get augmented as USN.
Don't even worry about the reserve thing, it does not eman that you are a second rate citizen! LOL
