Global Warming Conspiracy...?

This could be a fraud, but if so, a damned good one it seems. Or it could be just being blown up to be more than it really is. One of the world's leading climate change alarmist outfits, the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit, had their e-mail system hacked, and now around 61 MB of e-mails and data have been made public, showing what seems to be a degree of manipulation to make climate change look much worse than it really is.

If true, it means many of the leading scientists in this have more of an agenda than thought. Some question the legitimacy of it all because this just seems "to good to be true" of a thing for global warming skeptics, and its right on the verge of Copenhagen. But if it is a fraud, it means someone took the time to fake 61MB worth of e-mails and data.

Right, so the theory of global warming is debunked by information that was secretly hacked from the computers of evil scientists who are in a global conspiracy to withold the truth from the public.

Seams reasonable.

These scientists are ignoring measured data and creating their own propogandized information, so that, in proving that global warming exists they will be famous and rich? Or maybe just so they can say "I told you so."

Or maybe they walk around their underground lairs with a pinkie dangled on their lips.

There is no conspiracy. Sometimes you guys are worse than Oliver Stone.

By releasing data which is sympathetic to the need to do more research in your particular area of expertise, you are guaranteeing that you will get additional research grants and more $$. Plus fame.

If I came out tomorrow with some reasonable scientific data showing that we are all in imminent danger, I bet I would get more money to keep researching it.
