Platoon Commander's Tactical Notebook - it goes with you everywhere in the field, but hardly ever gets used.

its something we're told to refer to for everything, though i've really only used it for call for fire and oh and the one time i was really bored in class ( i think it was a class on maintaining government property) on the verge of passing out so i decided to look through it...

Several months ago, I actually had one of my Marine students pull out his Platoon Commanders Tactical Notebook in a brief to discuss the 9 line (it was one of the QOD). After the flight, I told him he needed to go home and throw out every pub, notebook and/or piece of paper he still had from TBS. That crap is useless in aviation.
