I came across this and I thought it may be useful with many of us going to the DO in 1 1/2 weeks. It comes directly from the NAS Pensacola military website.
NAS Pensacola- Mar. 18, 2003
Effectively immediately, only vehicles with valid base decals will be allowed entry via the Navy Boulevard entrance. Visitors coming to NAS Pensacola without base decals will be redirected to the back gate on Blue Angel Parkway. This includes visitors wanting to access NAS Pensacola points of interest such as the National Museum of Naval Aviation, the Lighthouse, Fort Barrancas, and the Barrancas National Cemetary.
Access to Corry Station and Saufley Field will be limited to only those visitors with a valid reason for entering the facilities. Visitors gaining access to NAS Pensacola, Corry Station and Saufely Field should anticipate thorough vehicle inspections necessitating longer waits for clearance.
Media representatives desiring to gain access to NAS Pensacola must obtain proper clearance through the NAS Pensacola Public Affairs Office.
