Yeah its only 30 credits, but they have to directly transfer. They only accepted 12 of mine. I took leave to TX from VA to fly down there and try to work things out, with no luck. The guy in transfer admissions told me the only thing I could do(since my application wouldn't even go to the admissions board) was wait and submit an appeal asking them to waive the 30 credit requirement. He then proceeded to tell me that no appeal like that has ever led to a student being accepted (pretty much it was a lost cause). I figured "eff" it. I have wanted to go to UT my whole life, but if they don't want me there, then why should I keep wasting all my time, money and effort on them. So after spending $1200 on my trip to UT and having nothing to show for it, I decided to swallow my pride and call A&M. And let's just say they were AMAZING!!! Best decision I have made in a long time.

Not that I know of, I am pretty sure active duty spots are unlimited. There are a ton of people at the unit, I think a little over 300, with about 50 of us active duty, and a bunch of Marines too. Getting into SDSU is going to be more difficult, but I am pretty sure STA-21 is harder to get into than SDSU, but there is always CSU-San Marcos, it is still a CSU school like SDSU, but the demand to get in is not as bad.

FYI to all interested in SUNY MARITIME

Good Afternoon:

At SUNY Maritime, you would be considered a transfer student when you apply, although we quickly change that to STA-21 if you are accepted to the program by the Navy. If you are accepted for the STA-21 program, you are automatically given an acceptance letter and degree plan by Maritime College.

Well, good night everyone. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for everyone. I hate this game, but I just can't stop playing. On a side note, does anyone know college's that will automatically accept you if you are accepted for STA-21. I am looking for back up colleges in case I can't get my acceptance letters and degree plans in time from Ohio State, Penn State, or Auburn. I understand Sunny Maritime, but who else? Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I have talked to him. He had to pay an acceptance fee too.
We just need to get these results so we can either go out and party (IN HONG KONG) or cry ourselves to sleep.
I would just like to know which one I should be doing. :(

Cool, that at least gives us an idea. We are in Chula Vista so San Marcos is about an hour away and the 15 sucks, but at least he would be going against the grain of the major traffic cause most people go South in the morning and North in the evening. That would be better than packing the whole house and moving again.

SDSU's batallion spots arent full. If it is your first choice, have your husband call Susan Neiman @ 6195940744. she is the STA-21 contact at SDSU. She will help get your application prepped, pushed through (there are different procedures for STA applicants) and then she will get the acceptance and your degree plan worked out with/for you asap. You can contact her before you know if you are accepted. I did. She is very helpful and knows what exactly they need from you to get it done.

1st Timer FY10
I had to apply for cross town enrollment at Regis University instead of U of Colorado (even though they are not even in the same city). Does anyone know how that works? Do I just drill randomly or what is the usual operation with the cross-town enrollment? Also, does anyone have any contacts for the U of Colorado?
