During the last upgrade, there was a step in the install/upgrade instructions that I missed. This unfortunately caused anyone that registered in the last week to experience difficulties logging in, regardless of how many times they requested a new password should be sent to them.
I will work my way through the backlog of emails I have received on this subject. But for now, the issue has been resolved, and the effected users should request a new password via the registration system, and then they should be able to login without difficulty.
