I've got my flight physical (Marines) on December 10th. Anything I should do thats in my control to help my eyesight? I'm drinking lots of water and taking eyedrops, and vitamin C (had PRK, Vit C limits scar tissue). I'm 20/20 in one eye and 20/25 in the other.
Thanks

Get a good night's sleep. It really helps.

I always assumed it would be before OCS...

Why would I need to go to Florida for a physical though? We have an Air Force Base in the area, I'd assume there are docs around here who know what they're looking for.

Anyone ever encounter any surprises?

My concern is my eyesight. Was 20/20 four years ago before college, but all those hours of reading I think took their tole...

Yeah, anything more I could do to improve it would be helpful.

Thanks.

I just took my flight physical at NAS Corpus Christi this past Friday. The flight surgeons and eye docs said everything looked fine but my paper work for my PRK surgery has to be reviewed. 15/20 vision in both eyes but they have to review my pre-op and post-op examinations first in order to submit final approval. The Chief that served as the candidate's escort told me that we will recieve final approval towards the end of OCS. At first I was nervous about that aspect but then I realized there is nothing I can do about it anyways and I'm committed towards being an officer 1st. I'm selected for OCC-200 under an air contract.

I've heard of people's PRK waivers sometimes not being approved till the night before graduation...Has anyone heard of an instance where one was denied while at OCS?
