That's a good start. If you want a really good answer about a community, phrase your question critically and specifically. Don't phrase it open-ended, such as, "Can you tell me what you liked about ____?"So the fleet fly in is next month and I’m trying to make sure I ask the right questions for each community brief. Looking back on your career what information would you have liked to know before you filled out your dream sheet.
Seriously? You know, I was forced to purchase a mug there as a young ensign. What am going to do with that now?Yep, you just dated yourself by at least fifteen years.
Sorry.
(And the club at Whiting got torn down almost ten years gone now, c2012.)
I’m going to state this rhetorically, but do “communities” even matter now?
I was wondering... is this for helos only, or all aviation communities?
I’m going to state this rhetorically, but do “communities” even matter now? For Navy it’s more like, “do I want to fly a 53, and hardly fly - or fly a 60 and deploy haze grey”
Knowing what I know now: Go HSM CVW. HSM has a far brighter future and more relevant mission. CVW will always be the bright center of NAE and the squadrons are smaller JO wise so there's likely better fitrep breakout potential than in an EXP squadron with a million JOs. I'd also add to strongly consider Japan because youll deploy and fly more. Plus you have the rest of your life to live in America. So the fleet fly in is next month and I’m trying to make sure I ask the right questions for each community brief. Looking back on your career what information would you have liked to know before you filled out your dream sheet.
