NASA F/A-18 aircraft from the Dryden Flight Research Center escort Space Shuttle Endeavor (OV-105) and its Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) for its final farewell tour over Southern California. This is the final ferry flight and the final flight of any kind for the Space Shuttle Program.

Views included Malibu, Dodger Stadium, California Science Center, the Los Angeles Colosseum, downtown Los Angeles, the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, Pasadena, the Rose Bowl, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Space X, Universal Studios, Point Mugu before landing at Los Angeles International Airport at 12:51pm PT.

Mission one their own discrete LA center freq? Heard 323.75, so I guess yes, but figured there would me more chatter from at least the controller. So quiet for such busy airspace.

They shut the airspace down around DCA last spring.

LA isn't really that busy when you are up uniform freq's. Pretty much just other mil folks, who aren't that common around there.
