F-18 brake failure

Hey all,

I was wondering what the SOP was for landing at an airfield with a brake failure. I saw an F18 come in yesterday (knkx) with a brake failure (heard it comin in over comms in the weather office) and he didnt use arresting gear. So if the rwy is long enough they dont use it? Or maybe it was just a partial failure? Was just curious of the EP process and what not.

Thanks,

jP

Could have just been the anti-skid failed. At NKX with 12K feet of runway most jets can almost roll to a stop with plenty of runway left. Arresting gear is at both ends.
