I was reading a list of colleges where nrotc, arotc, afrotc is offered, along with their cross-town affiliates. But there are some Cross-Town Affiliates that are very far from their host. How the heck are students from Cross-Town Affiliates able to take their rotc classes, lab and pt etc... when their host is almost 100 miles away?

Cross town students must drive to the host school, or the host school may have a special agreement worked out...like, there may be a duty driver from the cross town school that drives a gov't vehicle to carpool cross town students, or the unit might have an office more conveniently located at/near the cross town school. As part of the training, it may be encouraged to have everyone come together for certain events, so if you go to a cross town school it would be your responsibility to get to where you have to be at the right time, regardless of how long it takes you to get there. In my unit we had students leave home an hour early just to get to our drill at 0545. Some had to leave 1.5 hrs early to beat morning traffic. It's up to the individual, how well they can time-manage, and how much they really want to be commissioned. And if they have a dependable car.
