We've been going over all the flight planning and, I'm not going to lie, it has the potential to be a real shit show if one person messes it up. At the same time, I'd love to be on the ground watching it. It's impressive all the coordination going on behind the scenes. Keep an eye out for the P-3, if everything goes well (plane is up), yours truly will be there.

Does anyone know if the flyover is going to be covered live? Either a major news source or online somewhere?

8 53s airborne at the same time? Followed by 8 Phrogs? Come on. You Marines are pissing off the maintenance gods. Now the Prowler is going to go down in the line. :)

FML....ended up missing it all (save tuning in on socal freq to listen in while I was the turning spare). By the time I walked out of mx and headed down there, Coronado had already been closed off. On the upside, I did start our jet that ended up making the flyby, so I guess that makes it worth it

That was by far the coolest thing I've done in the Merc. Anyone get pics of the E-6?

I was down in the SD Maritime Museum, and my iPhone doesn't come with adjustable lenses. No pics here. :( Unfortunately Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, George and Lennie, or whoever the two chuckleheads were from AM600 kept cutting their own commentary in over the top of Huggy's, and it was usually inane, ignorant, and/or late.

The Shogun flyby went right over my head, though. Good stuff.
