The article, dated 12 May, mentions something about these being better targets for you pointy-nosed guys than QF-4s because of higher performance, faster, turn better, etc.

F-16s were produced by Lockheed Martin (General Dynamics before it merged with Lockheed) so I'm wondering why it's a Boeing QF-16?

Also, I saw this funny thread about the QF-16 over at F-16.net.

On Edit: After further reading, I see that Boeing is doing the mods... :rolleyes:

They probably just got the contract to do the Q mod, so they're magically Boeing products.

Looks as if I retired from Mother Boeing too soon. Having flown (or been flown) in the QF-9, QT-33, QF-86H and QT-38, could done some consulting.
