ASTB breakdown

Could someone please tell me what the ASTB breakdown numbers are and what they mean. I've heard some talk about 'NFO' parts of the test, etc.

Also, does a good math background (i.e. SAT/ACT, Math GPA, degree) help like some have suggested a technical background does.


Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Not to butt in TNWhiskey, but along with your question, can someone please tell me how long and how many questions you have for each section of the ASTB? I want to time myself and practice. Thanks so much.
