I was not amused when I saw a “SF” patch on a NARP and realized it means security forces…Welcome to the questions I had when the Air Force started this a year or so ago. Damn near everyone has a patch now.
Don't even get me started on how y'all pronounce "buoys".I want one that says MAIL BUOYS

I’ll give credit where it’s due, some of the AF security forces dudes have done legit stuff and are badass.I was not amused when I saw a “SF” patch on a NARP and realized it means security forces…
They must have been making sure y’all weren’t trying to sneak a third dick inSome SecFo dudes gave me and my wingman a hard time after landing at Nellis for an exercise because we didn’t have passenger manifests.
It was two Cobras…

That said, I’ve dealt with more than a handful that consider themselves AF ‘infantry’. ?

Ya, I know the story. I should have said "flying space available". Bad attempt at humor.Apache pilots save critically-wounded Soldier with unorthodox evacuation
LOGISTICS SUPPORT AREA ANACONDA, Iraq - Two pilots from Company B, 1st Battalion, 149th Aviation Regiment (Attack), 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, risked their lives in an unorthodox casualtywww.nationalguard.mil
Riding on the open ammo bay door is something Cobras have done since Vietnam. But in Desert Storm some crews bivouacked with the aircraft and stored all their field comfort goodies, tent, sleeping bag etc. in the ammo bay. Putting a guy on the open ammo bay door risked losing all your stuff. Army pilots in my AAHF Chapter said that in Desert Storm they tied large ropes on the Cobra TOW launchers. It was for quick evac. Straddle the tow launcher and hold on to the rope. I have yet to find a picture of the ropes attached, but it was said some units routinely flew with them just in case.Apache pilots save critically-wounded Soldier with unorthodox evacuation

As I recall the side door on the cobra (ammo door I guess) was purpose built as an emergency rescue seat.Riding on the open ammo bay door is something Cobras have done since Vietnam.
