I recently attended a counter drug task force meeting and we watched a video created by NATGEO about the heroin trade, something we're dealing with on a street level quite a lot. The vid of course showed street level users and dealers both here in CONUS and some elsewhere; Vancouver and Switzerland to be exact. As far as the Afghan stuff though they show these warlords paying $6.00 U.S. for one kilo from the popi farmers and how these warlords have fortified compunds with their own militia. It also mentioned how Iran is the biggest importer of heroin, they supposedly have a huge heroin addiction problem in Iran. What's f'd up is that we hammer the dealer and two more move in. If we get all of them the users come up with other ways to get high; prescription pills, synthetics, etc. I guess it keep us both employed...
