6-Helo/8-Jet?

Is it still a 6 year commitment for Helo/Prop, and 8 year for jet or is it all 8 now? Thanks!

Check the location of the thread, dude. Helos are still a six-year commitment for Marines.

I winged last year in October- as of then it was 6 for helos, 8 for Ospreys, C-130s and jets. You could probably get some more recent gouge though.

I'm not a Marine, but I talked to some Marines not too long ago about this.

Apparently some guys in primary right now got commissioned under the old 6/8 contract, but the guys entering primary now, and all Marines in the future probably got commissioned with the 8/8 contract. And of course the 8 years starts when you get winged.

That's how I understand it.
