i got picked up NFO march/april, then got my final select end of july. i put that i could start on january 22nd & they gave me the 24th. i wish we knew more people who will be in our class... we've got a facebook group and everything haha but it's just me and one other guy so far with that date for sure.

They'll be a ton more. Our FB group for 08 November is up to 48 people. They are probably still filling earlier classes. I have seen a lot of 22 Nov posting on usnavyocs.com recently. Once that class fills, I think you can expect more.

Finally. After much delay (months) with getting my physical transferred; received my final select letter today. Jan 24th.

Found out today I'll be seeing y'all in Newport also. I've heard that running outside during the winter isn't too bad once the snot freezes to your face. Looking forward to it guys.

welcome dudes. nice to have some more testosterone in here finally... i was badly out numbered there for awhile

running outside wont be too bad... the longest we run is what maybe 3 miles. wait just kidding... my throat being sore from yelling and a nice wind chill hitting it will be a greattttttt time

You know, I'm still not real sure what the big holdup was. I failed the depth perception at MEPS, but I got a waiver for that since I had gotten all the tests done with my eye doc a while earlier, so that slowed me down. Then, I got caught by the outdated clearance forms so those had to be updated and resubmitted.

I guess I should post my timeline for all those people freaking out about their FS letter to get them to relax and be as patient as possible. At this point though, I'm not as worried about the length of time it took to get here, I'm just happy that I finally got my FS squared away.

i failed my dp at meps too... think we'll be ok at ocs and beyond?

Yeah I figure we'll be alright since MEPS is a cluster of epic proportions. What I understand is that when it comes time for our flight physicals down in Pcola we'll be able to be well rested and they'll have easier access to actual eye docs and not just the person running that stupid machine.

i'm hoping we can take the booklet test at ocs. if you watch the navy ocs recruiting dvd you see a kid taking it... wouldnt that be sweeeeeeet ha

Looks like i'm joining you guys for this class. I got the call today and am still waiting on the official letter, but it feels good to FINALLY have a date.

Also had my interview for my clearance today as well, so today has been jampacked.

It hasn't really hit me yet, but i'm sure it will soon enough!!
