    Unloggable Flight Hours

What's "91 non rev" mean in reference to an empty leg? ..Hmmm, thanks to this thread and the "AW's in person" thread, I now know who Puma Swede is (I'm not much for porn - except maybe Super Chevy :D).. and that an aviator displaces about a firkin ... but I still have to turn to the lovely...

    Unloggable Flight Hours

Well, Pat just happens to be flying for various reasons, and invites me along. We don't meet with the intention of doing flight lessons; there is no material review; no formal ground lesson; no set topics that we cover; nothing formal or official about it... doesn't that combination make...

    Unloggable Flight Hours

Thank you guys! (And I mean "guys" as respectfully as possible). Pat is a CFI, I do get basic info (and experience) on instrument flight too, I will definitely soak up all the time and knowledge I can get out of this sweet deal on top of outright enjoy it, and: "Tun = Butt × 2 = 256 gal. (A...

    Unloggable Flight Hours

I've searched using the search function and also by browsing, and haven't found anything about unloggable flight hours. Shame me if I'm wrong. Two Questions: 1. Is the Navy interested in unloggable flight hours of potential candidates? 2. Is there any way to document unloggable hours? (I know...

OCS package...who to ask for references?

Through six degrees of separation, anyone can find any prestigious, high muckety muck person they want to write a Letter of Recommendation for them. While off-the-cuff networking and BS-ing may come in handy in the future, it doesn't sound like the Navy's too concerned with those qualities...

AWESOME video of COIN in action

Starkly informative. His even-toned narration is so appropriate for the high-intensity footage. I can think of more than a few severely misinformed kids my age that should watch this and get a freaking clue. Thanks for sharing, and thanks to Mr. Chivers and Mr. Harris too of course.

Newest Pickle Added to the Jar!

Congrats on your new pickle. My grandparents had a dog that looked just like him; also almost completely blind. He lived a long, hard, and happy life. I wish the same for yours! Can human "breeders" do this too? Certainly could improve the gene pool. :icon_smil :icon_wink

    Knives?

Opens very smoothly. Sturdy. Emerson touts the "wave feature", that hook looking piece on the back edge, which allows you to pull the knife out and open it in one movement. I'd rather open it "normally" though than rip a hole in my pants or skin. Fits nicely in my small hands. Wicked serration.
