Fauci admits to lying. He did not advise the public to wear masks despite the virus risks because, from a practical standpoint, the supply was low.

But of course Fauci doesn’t make the connection that it is time to reopen America despite the virus risks because, from a practical standpoint, the economy is low.

Are you saying he should have recommended everyone should have gotten masks right from the beginning? Which of course would have led to a toilet paper hording situation x 100 and more spread of the virus in medical facilities and more deaths of health care workers.
I'm not sure it would have made much difference. Consumer masks were virtually sold out in early-mid March.

(There were internet rumors about people buying them up in February and supposedly sending them, that is hardware store painting masks and other PPE, to friends and family overseas... believable rumor but also unremarkable IMHO, like what else would you expect your American neighbor to do back then for their relatives in China??)

I support the Jocko/ Joe Rogan breakdown of this on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Here's my estimate...We had 15K dead this past week, bending down rapidly. But I expect with relaxing distancing we will muddle along at 8K per week, so I think we will hit 120K by 1 July.
Pretty much nailed it back on 29 April, Unfortunately.

The infections are growing exponentially (but a slow exponential) in a bunch of states now. This seems to be countered by improved therapies, so the deaths aren't spiking. Yet.

Should we wait two more weeks?

I’m about to go to the store. Should I expect to find any meat there? I was told there was a massive shortage coming soon.

If you want to hear an evolutionary biology PhD college professor describe why he thinks the SARS-COV-2 virus was likely created in a Chinese lab in Wuhan due to its observed DNA properties, listen to Joe Rogan podcast #1494 starting around mark 2:03:00.
